Senta has changed

Time for change

Just like everything else in 2020, Senta has changed. A lot of it was planned (new features, expanding the team) and a lot came as the result of the pandemic (remote working for all). However the changes came about, the result is that Senta Practice Management is slicker, easier than ever to use and packed with features to support accountants and bookkeepers run their practices.

So what’s changed?

The big changes

Zapier Integration

Senta integrates with all the apps you use every day, but integrating with Zapier is a game changer. It means that you can connect your Senta workspace to over 2000 apps, and the other way around. Our clients are using this to integrate with Practice Ignition.

The Teams function

This helps keep work organised across groups of users – essential if you’re all working remotely! You can see an overview of any tasks assigned to your team and set team leaders and assign tasks to different users. Read more here.

Senta Advisory

This new feature proactively links into your clients’ financial data, giving you an at a glance view of your clients’ performance. You’re able to view quick ratio, current ratio, debtor days, bank balance and creditor days in addition to gross and net profit. You’ll also be able to set up internal notifications when ratios drop below a certain threshold. Read more about advisory.

And the little changes

  • We’ve launched new date range selectors so you can filter by the last 3 and 12 months, as well as 4 weeks and 7 days meaning you can take a quick overview of any work recently completed.
  • We’ve improved the way Senta filtering works, so you can filter down the work tab on the client page to show only ‘ready’ jobs.
  • We’ve added in a job progress widget which gives an at-a-glance overview of any job you chose and shows the number of ready, pending, overdue, completed and cancelled jobs. Our clients who are managing teams working remotely are finding this really useful.
  • Added in a ‘save the changes’ prompt. So if you’ve spent ages working on a new job template, Senta won’t let you forget to save it!
  • Enabled multiple job triggers for Companies House. This means you can have both annual accounts and annual meeting reminders set up.
  • Bulk complete task – so you can mark several complete in one go. Just a little time saver.
  • Improved the search function
  • Added a timer to the AML check, to prevent users from accidentally running a check twice in the space of 30 seconds
  • Improved job templates with the ability to drag and drop tasks and duplicate tasks within a job.
  • We’ve added the option for Jobs to recur on “Last day of the month” and “Last working day of the month”

We’ve also grown. Almost doubled in fact. The Senta team has expanded from ten people at the start of the year to 18 now. We’ve new developers and producers (Hello Matt!  Hello Ant!) to help improve Senta and add new features. We’ve new members of the support team to respond to client queries (Hello Alice, Loma, Leigh, Jasmine!) and new admin and marketing people to support the effective running of the team (Amy, Helen, Elizabeth). Phew.
